BREAKING: Oil Prices Jump on News Biden Will Ban Russian Oil and Natural Gas Imports

Oil prices jumped higher on Tuesday morning after news organizations reported that the Biden administration is poised to ban U.S. imports of Russian energy.

The ban will cover Russian oil, liquefied natural gas, and coal, according to a Bloomberg news report citing two anonymous sources. NBC News also reported that “two sources familiar with the matter” said the ban is expected to come Tuesday.

Bloomberg’s report said the decision was made “in consultation with European allies.” Europe is much more reliant on Russian energy, especially Russian natural gas, than the U.S.

Brent crude, the global benchmark, jumped to $129.58. West Texas Intermediate moved up to $124.95.

The price of Russian oil has been trading at a steep discount to Brent because many market participants were effectively boycotting Russia following the attack on Ukraine. U.S. refiners were reportedly not bidding on any Russian oil. That makes it easier to ban Russian oil since it was largely being excluded from the U.S. market already.

UPDATE–11:43 AM EST: President Joe Biden on Tuesday announced his administration has banned energy imports from Russia and warned gas prices could rise even more across the United States.

FLASHBACK: Biden Said NATO Expansion Would Spark War With Russia As Senator

In 1997, then-Senator Joe Biden (D-Del.) warned that the expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) would result in “vigorous and hostile” action by Russia in Europe.

“I think the one place where the greatest consternation would be caused in the short term, for admission – having nothing to do with the merit and preparedness of the countries coming in – would be to admit the Baltic states now, in terms of NATO-Russian, US-Russian relations,” Biden said during an event held by the Atlantic Council, NATO’s de facto think tank.

“And if there was ever anything that was going to tip the balance, were it to be tipped, in terms of a vigorous and hostile reaction, I don’t mean military, in Russia, it would be that,” he continued, adding that Russia would be pushed into an alliance with China and even Iran.

At the time of Biden’s remarks, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland were actively seeking to join NATO.

They later did join NATO in 1999.

Notably, ex-Russia ambassador William Burns – now Joe Biden’s CIA director – admitted in a 2008 security cable leaked by WikiLeaks that NATO expansion to Ukraine would result in a war with Russia and a civil war in Ukraine.

Ukraine and Georgia’s NATO aspirations not only touch a raw nerve in Russia, they engender serious concerns about the consequences for stability in the region. Not only does Russia perceive encirclement, and efforts to undermine Russia’s influence in the region, but it also fears unpredictable and uncontrolled consequences which would seriously affect Russian security interests. Experts tell us that Russia is particularly worried that the strong divisions in Ukraine over NATO membership, with much of the ethnic-Russian community against membership, could lead to a major split, involving violence or at worst, civil war. In that eventuality, Russia would have to decide whether to intervene; a decision Russia does not want to have to face.

Now, puppet president Biden has just imposed a total ban on Russian oil and gas in response to the country’s incursion into Ukraine over Russia’s national security concerns involving NATO expansion.

BREAKING: Russian Ministry Of Defense Accuses Ukraine Of Planning Nuclear False Flag

The Russian Ministry of Defense has claimed that Ukrainian intelligence conspired with anti-Russian extremist militants to stage a false flag attack on a nuclear reactor in the Ukrainian city of Kharkov.

Russia claims that fighters with the Ukrainian nationalist Azov Battalion movement worked with Ukraine’s domestic security service, the SBU, in rigging explosives to the small reactor at the Institute of Physics and Technology (KIPT) in Kharkov.

The Russian Ministry issued a statement charging that “The SBU and the militants of the Azov Battalion are planning to blow up the reactor and accuse the Russian Armed Forces of allegedly launching a missile attack on the experimental nuclear facility.”

The Ministry further warned that such an attack would result in significant radioactive contamination of the area.

The accusation comes after Ukrainian government accused Russia of bombarding the city, and claiming that at least one projectile struck the nuclear facility.

Ukraine’s deputy foreign minister, Emine Dzheppar wrote a warning in social media posts that the bombing could cause a nuclear catastrophe:

Following charges that Russian forces attacked a nuclear facility in Zaporozhskaya, Vladimir Putin asserted Sunday that “Attempts to blame the Russian military for this incident are part of a cynical propaganda campaign.”

Putin further claims that the “physical and nuclear safety” of the Zaporozhskaya plant is under the control of Russian troops working in cooperation with Ukrainian personnel.

The Russian President also stated that Russian forces are now managing the infamous Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

The statement issued by the Kremlin added that “All this is being done in order to exclude the possibility of provocations fraught with catastrophic consequences by Ukrainian neo-Nazis or terrorists.”

Meanwhile, Joe Biden expressed outrage that Putin has ‘invaded Russia’.

 “How do we get to the place where, you know Putin decides he’s gonna invade Russia?” Biden proclaimed, adding “Nothing like this has happened since World War II.”

BREAKING: Clinton Global Initiative Reactivated After Long Hiatus

In a statement on Friday, former President Bill Clinton said the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) will be making its comeback to address the many challenges facing the world today, from climate change to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Cooperation and coordination has never been more urgent than it is now,” wrote the former president. “The COVID-19 pandemic has ripped the cover off of longstanding inequities and vulnerabilities across our global community. The existential threat of climate change grows every day.”

“Democracy is under assault around the world, most glaringly in Ukraine where Russia has launched an unjustified and unprovoked invasion that has put millions of lives in grave danger,” he continued. “The number of displaced people and refugees worldwide is higher than it has ever been—more than one in 95 of all people alive on the planet today has been forced to flee their home—and rising.”

A subset of the infamous Clinton Foundation, the Clinton Global Initiative “convenes global and emerging leaders to create and implement solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges,” according to its website.

“Rather than directly implementing projects, CGI facilitates action by helping members connect, collaborate, and develop Commitments to Action — new, specific, and measurable plans that address global challenges,” it says of itself.

The Clinton Global Initiative ended in 2016 as Hillary Clinton launched her presidential campaign, fearing it could create a conflict of interest. It will convene for between September 19 to September 21 in New York City.

“Just like the world we’re living in, the September meeting will likely look different than the ones we held before. But what will not be different is the spirit that has driven CGI from the very beginning—the idea that we can accomplish more together than we can apart,” the former president said in his announcement.

Past events have featured A-list celebrity speakers and top business executives such as Ben Affleck, Bono, and former Presidents Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter. The initiative has also been sponsored by major corporations, from Coca-Cola, Barclays, Goldman Sachs, Blackstone Group, Laureate Education, Monsanto, and Standard Chartered Bank. As the Washington Examiner profiled in 2016 upon the initiative’s downturn, CGI has drawn criticism for “its atypical method of operation.”

“Instead of issuing traditional grants to groups in need, the Clinton Global Initiative’s primary function is to convene powerful figures from the business, political or entertainment worlds and encourage them to pledge contributions for future projects called ‘commitments,’” noted the Examiner.

“However, the group’s most recent philanthropic portfolio indicates fewer than half of the thousands of commitments made since 2005 have ever been completed,” it added. “The charity’s financial structure has also raised eyebrows, since most direct contributions go toward the annual meeting or salaries rather than philanthropy.”

INSANE: White House Rejects Idea of Boosting Domestic Oil Production to Lower Gas Prices

The White House on Sunday rejected the argument that increasing domestic oil production would help lower gas prices, as the cost of oil moves toward record highs.

Crude oil prices rose as high as $130.50 a barrel on Sunday evening.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki released a set of talking points on social media, arguing against a focus on boosting oil production in the United States.

“It’s a reminder that real energy security comes from reducing our dependence on fossil fuels,” Psaki wrote, noting that Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine was causing a spike in oil prices.

Psaki pushed back against Republicans calling for more domestic oil production.

She argued that domestic oil production was up after the coronavirus pandemic but that the United States was still vulnerable to global oil markets.

“[D]omestic production has not insulated us from the price volatility of fossil fuels or the whims of those who control them, such as President Putin,” she said. “Americans know that.”

President Joe Biden’s administration is exploring diplomatic shifts with oil producing countries including Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and Iran, as Russia’s latest Ukrainian offensive has disrupted oil markets.

But Psaki argued the only way to truly be free from high gas prices was to stop using oil.

“The only way to protect US over the long term is to become energy independent,” she wrote, pointing to Biden’s efforts on subsidizing wind and solar energy.

The Biden administration continues to struggle to explain the president’s decision to end the Keystone XL pipeline project, his effort to shut down drilling permitting on federal land, and his decision to suspend drilling leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

In his State of the Union speech, Biden acknowledged that gas prices were rising, but offered subsidies for an electric cars as a solution.

He called for Congress to help him “lower the price of electric vehicles, saving you another $80 a month because you’ll never have to pay at the gas pump again.”

Biden also said he would continue releasing oil from America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve, even though it failed to significantly affect gas prices.

“I know the news about what’s happening can seem alarming,” he said. “But I want you to know that we are going to be okay.”

More and more evidence suggests the U.S. and other western nations have been funding clandestine bio-labs in Ukraine, which represents a security threat not only to Russia, but to the world at large.

This latest video shows evidence that the Pentagon has funded bio-weapons labs in Ukraine. Could this be a possible motive for the invasion?

If one thing is for certain, it’s that our media and governments have not been truthful about the things happening in Ukraine. We have seen misinformation and disinformation gone wild since the beginning of the Russian advance.

It should be noted that Ukraine is the country in which Hunter Biden held a position on the Board of a Ukranian energy company, Burisma.

With no documented experience in energy, Hunter Biden was making over $1 Million per year to sit on the Burisma Board. Does this have something to do with Joe Biden’s allegiance to Ukraine?

Our Government is far from righteous. The last few years have been filled with instances of governments like ours, and Canada literally declaring war on their citizens. Across Europe, people were unable to leave their homes without facing strict penalties from authoritarian governments.

For them to act as if they have the moral high ground on ANYTHING is laughable. Joe Biden and his fraudulent regime are a shining example of how far America has fallen.

Now, starving for the attention needed to gain support in the midterms, the Democrats and their media cohorts are beating the war drum as loud as ever.

One must ask themselves, how will the United States benefit from entering in the war in Ukraine? The answer is we won’t. We won’t get any benefit at all. Only war. Only casualties. Only debt.

The elites that control our government, however, will be able to rake in money in the form of aid, and donations like never before. War is in their interest. That is why they must be REMOVED FROM POWER!

IDIOT: Biden Readies Plan to Revive Nuclear Deal with Iran as Oil Spikes

President Joe Biden’s effort to restore former President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran may be finished soon, according to the State Department.

Deputy State Department spokeswoman Jalina Porter told reporters on Thursday there was “significant progress” in the negotiations with Iran.

“There has been significant progress and we are close to a possible deal, but a number of difficult issue remain unsolved,” Porter said.

Iran now has the upper hand in negotiations, as Europe and the United States are struggling after the the price of oil spiked to over $110 a barrel after the latest Russian invasion into Ukraine.

Both Europe and the United States are eying the potential of a million barrels of Iranian oil per day as a welcome relief from the higher prices fueled by the Russian war in Ukraine.

But Iran has other sticking points in the negotiations that remain.

Iran has demanded that the International Atomic Energy Agency end their investigations in their nuclear activities.

The director of the IAEA Rafael Mariano Grossi, who is traveling to Tehran for negotiations, expressed optimism about negotiations, asserting there were ways his agency could work with Iran on the issue.

Iran is also demanding the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps be removed from the United States terror blacklist, a decision that former President Donald Trump made in 2019.

Iran also wants the United States to guarantee they will never withdraw from the nuclear agreement again, something that would be extremely difficult for diplomats to commit to, as no American president can prevent a future president from acting.

Despite sticking points, American diplomats remain positive that the nuclear deal with Iran can be salvaged.

INSANE: Lindsey Graham Calls For Assassination of Russian President Vladimir Putin on Fox

During an interview with Fox News on Thursday night, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) suggested “somebody in Russia” assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“How does this end?” Graham rhetorically asked. “Somebody in Russia has to step up to the plate. Is there a Brutus in Russia? Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military?”

“The only way this ends is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would be doing your country a great service and the world a great service,” the politician added.

The bold statement comes on the heels of reports that Russian troops fired upon a Ukrainian nuclear plant, catching it on fire.

“As a result of shelling by Russian forces on the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, a fire broke out,” a spokesman for the plant said in a video posted on the plant’s Telegram account.

Zaporizhia is the largest nuclear power plant in all of Europe with six reactors.

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba posted to Twitter, saying the Russians were firing on the plant from all sides and that if it blew up, the devastation would be 10 times larger than Chernobyl.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy released a video urging fighting at the plant to stop, and warning of a potential catastrophe.

Footage of the skirmish is already being posted to the internet.

Blurry footage appears to show military vehicles shooting at the power plant buildings.

More footage claiming to reveal proof of the plant being attacked shows flares landing near the plant.

Foreign Policy reporter Jack Detsch posted to Twitter Thursday night, writing, “Zaporizhia’s regional state admin said safety of the nuclear power station is currently ensured.”

This incident will undoubtedly be used to further drag Western nations into this dangerously tense, yet fragile situation.

Nancy Pelosi has said that Republican representatives who have a problem with Biden’s failure in Afghanistan need to “shut up.”

Pelosi was referring specifically to reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert who both heckled Joe Biden during his gaffe filled squinty eyed State of The Union address.

Boebert couldn’t take any more of Biden talking about dead troops in a jingoistic fashion and when he said the “waste of war” put soldiers “in a flag draped coffin,” Boebert yelled out “THIRTEEN OF THEM,” referring to the troops who died during Biden’s catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Pelosi, who was seen rubbing her hands in glee and unable to remain seated as Joe Biden spoke about sick and dying U.S. troops, said Thursday “Let me just say this. I agree with what Sen. Lindsey Graham said: ‘Shut up.’ That’s what he said to them. I think they should just shut up,” referring to the two GOP reps.
