Maryland Court of Appeals Chief Judge Joseph Getty released an illegal order last week pushing the candidate filing deadlines for the 2022 Election.
The Daily Record reports:
The deadline to withdraw as a candidate moves from March 4 to March 24. The March 8 deadline to file as a candidate to fill a vacancy in candidacy moves to March 28. The deadline to challenge the residency of a candidate moves from March 9 to March 29.
The order from Court of Appeals Chief Judge Joseph Getty comes a day after the filing deadline to challenge the redistricting plan approved by the Maryland General Assembly.
As a member of the Judicial Branch, Getty had no power to order these dates to be pushed. That power falls solely on the State Legislature, who drafts the Maryland Election Calendar.
Power over Elections is expressly given to the State Legislatures. It is written in the Constitution, Article I, Section 4, Clause 1:
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.
The Judicial Branch has absolutely no authority to change these deadlines. Adherence to this order only solidifies, in my mind, that our election process in Maryland has no basis in legality.
By adhering to this order, the State of Maryland is submitting to yet another Unconstitutional Election Cycle, this time solidified before a single vote has been cast. Judge Joseph Getty, a Hogan appointee, is flaunting the law.
This is the same tactic that was used in the 2020 Election. Judges illegally allowed for ballots to be accepted AFTER Election day in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Separation of Powers, in this case between the Judicial and Legislative branches, are the mechanisms that our founders introduced to safeguard us from tyranny. It is no mistake that these basic principles are being violated in order to steal our Republic.

The Maryland Election “Calendar” was created by the Maryland Legislature. ITS THE LAW…….A Judge HAS NO AUTHORITY to change law or legislate from the bench. This action by Hogan’s appointee IS in and of itself a conflict under the Separation of Powers Act.
It seems as if the exact same tactics are being deployed in order to steal our 2022 Election as were used in the 2020 Election. We must ask ourselves, what in the hell has the Republican Party done to stop this disaster from unfolding YET AGAIN?
The answer, in Maryland, is NOTHING. Unfortunately, it isn’t just Maryland.
Nationally, the RNC sat on over $220 Million collected from donations in order to “Stop The Steal” of our 2020 Election. Where is that money? Why haven’t we seen effective change?
How long will our ‘leaders’ be allowed to violate our laws, plunging our country into chaos and disorder?
