Critics of climate alarmism often level the charge that activists are engaging in a kind of religious fervour, and now Nancy Pelosi has provided more ammunition on this very front by calling the Democrats’ massive spending on ‘green’ policies as “a religious thing.”
Describing the House passage of the massive ‘Build Back’ spending bill this past weekend, of which $550 billion is earmarked for combatting climate change, Pelosi said “For me, it’s a religious thing.”
She explained, “I believe this is God’s creation and we have a moral obligation to be good stewards.”
Pelosi contuned, “But if you don’t share that view, you must share the view that we have an obligation to future generations. So we’re very excited about what is in there and it is paid for.”

An “obligation” that will, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) increase the federal budget deficit by $367 billion over the next 10 years.

4. Did you know that, lending credence to his ties to the community, KHR was videotaped earlier on 25 August 2020 cleaning graffiti from buildings in Kenosha.
5. Did you know that in fact KHR’s ownership & possession of a long barreled AR-15 gun was NOT illegal?
6. Did you know that prior to being ambushed by 4 rioters, KHR in fact put out a dumpster fire that was in the process of being rolled down allegedly in an attempt to blow up a gas station? An event that likely would have resulted in the deaths of many of people around it had the rioters been successful.
7. Did you know that the scene had devolved from generic protesting into outright violence and that KHR was in fact attempting to help others defuse the situation by putting out fires and offering aid?
8. KHR was in fact putting out fires upon request at Car Source Lot 3. Then, the situation degraded, he then attempted to leave the car lot.
9. Did you know that KHR is recorded on video attempting to leave the car lot, and that he was recorded on video being cornered by least three individuals, and that one individual fired a gun into the air prior to his firing the first time?
10. Did you know that KHR only fired at Joseph Rosenbaum AFTER Rosenbaum attempted to take his rifle from him? This is also after Rosenbaum had threatened on more than once instance to kill him.
11. Did you know that at first KHR attempted to render aid to Rosenbaum, despite being attacked, before noting that journalist McGinnis was rendering aid?
12. Did you know that subsequent to his shooting of Rosenbaum, that Anthony Huber than struck him with a skateboard not just one time in the head, but twice upon the head and neck and was proceeding to continue his assault when KHR fired resulting in the second shooting death? In the process of the Huber assault, he was also struck with a rock.
13. Did you know that subsequent to this, “Jump kick man” (now identified as Maurice Freeland) then proceeded to jump and kick KHR twice in the face, resulting in KHR firing twice and missing? At which point Freeland moved off to avoid being shot.
14. Did you know that subsequent to Jump-Kick Man’s assault, Gage Grosskreutz, then immediately approached KHR, and admitted in court upon cross examination that KHR did not fire at him until Grosskreutz aimed his pistol at KHR’s head?
15. Did you know that no evidence was ever presented at trial to intimate that this was a hate crime in some fashion, and that no accusation of white supremacy has been made against KHR other than by the Legacy MSM and President Joe Biden?
16. Did you know that despite Legacy MSM accusations to the contrary, no evidence of race motivation has been connected regarding a white male, KHR, shooting three white males?
17. Did you know that calling KHR a murderer is now legally defamation of his character because he has been acquitted of murder by a jury of his peers in accordance with Wisconsin State Law and the United States Constitution? Neither is it fair to say that KHR committed multiple crimes when he in fact committed none, and has been subsequently acquitted on all counts.
18. Did you know that KHR attempted to turn himself into police in Kenosha on scene, and then at a police station in Kenosha was unable to do so, and then subsequently travelled to his mother’s home in order to turn himself in at Antioch [IL] police department? Criminals flee – they don’t try three times to turn themselves in to face the music.
19. Did you know that Judge Schroeder was appointed to the bench in 1983 by a Democratic governor, and is the longest serving current circuit judge in Wisconsin? His conduct is worth its own article – but suffice it to say – none of his actions, rulings, temperament or management of his court was out of the ordinary. Stay tuned for more on this point. Let’s briefly discuss facts that are irrelevant to the evaluation and subsequent outcome of the trial, but that have become a topic of conversation in the media whirlwind surrounding this politically motivated prosecution.
20. Point in fact, KHR’s comments prior to the events of the tragic night in question do NOT reveal his state of mind on the night in question. The Legacy MSM would have us believe that the prosecution being barred from presenting the irrelevant video recordings somehow improperly affected the outcome of the trial. Yet, they impugn and malign the character of KHR, while ignoring his actual behavior on the night in question. Deeds should matter more, but in the eyes of the Legacy MSM, they would hang someone for their statements rather than their actions. Instead they are trying to create extra-event context that had no bearing on the actual event. Thank God that trial by media-narrative yet remains illegal.
21. Point in fact, much of the unrest and violence in Kenosha had nothing to do with protesting the lawful shooting. Did you know that it was simply gratuitous violence & destruction of property? The gratuitous violence and anarchical chaos which was allowed to propagate with a crescendo of intensity left property owners and business owners subject to mob violence.
22. Why does anyone think that these property owners should go defenseless when the governing authorities refuse to protect them and their livelihoods? How can anyone say with legitimate gravitas that the destruction of minority communities by anyone whether by anti-American whites or aggravated minorities somehow benefits those same minority communities?
23. Did you know that every single person who assaulted KHR was a criminal? Why would I say this is not relevant? Because KHR didn’t engage them and runs police report prior to shooting at them. He simply responded to force with force. It should not matter – but it is illustrative of who was out that night and what they were in fact up to; gratuitous violence, or so it would appear based on video evidence.
Joseph Rosenbaum was convicted of 5 counts of child rape, and they are horrific crimes (2011). As Tucker Carlson died, Rosenbaum was killed attempting to touch another unwilling minor child.
Anthony Huber was convicted of strangulation and false imprisonment (2012).
Maurice Freeland has a lengthy criminal history including battery, disorderly conduct, possession of marajuana and apparently a DUI from 2021.
Gaige Grosskreutz, has multiple arrests over the recent past few years and his felony conviction has reportedly been expunged – but, he was in Kenosha with a concealed pistol on an expired concealed weapons permit. It appears Mr. Grosskreutz has had extensive interaction with law enforcement, but research makes it unclear as to whether or not he was in fact a felon at the time of the Kenosha shooting that cost him 90% of his bicep. Conclusion
24. At the end of the day, the most significant takeaway is this: the Prosecution, under extensive pressure from media outlets, despite obvious extensive exculpatory video evidence, chose to prosecute a 17 year old boy in the most clear cut case of self defense ever recorded in live video feeds in less than 48 hours. It is unreasonable to suggest that there was sufficient time to digest voluminous video data, and interview witnesses, in order to conduct reasonable due diligence before initiating prosecution. It’s clear the decision to prosecute preceded an understanding of the evidence and demonstrates clear, egregious and unconscionable prosecutorial conduct.
25. The prosecution has belatedly acknowledged their obligation to ethically proceed by refusing to make statements to the media. Unfortunately, this is more likely a maneuver to claw back reputations scorched by their ill-advised and foolish rush to prospect a manifestly innocent young man. And that likely more than any sudden interest in the ethics that were obviously absent their process and procedure in their thinly-“legal” assault upon KHR.
The assasination of the character of Kyle H. Rittenhouse by the media, and the prosecution that fell sway to the hyperbolic and emotional stupidity of the same, should bring us all pause.
But for the courageous, thoughtful and careful deliberation of twelve citizens – our 2A rights and our Ancient Right of Self Defense could have suffered a catastrophic blow.
The Legacy MSM has become an angry cloud of clamoring fools trying to eliminate the brightest functioning light of republican democracy the world has ever known.

Although early reports suggested that he was fleeing the scene of a crime, others have noted that the social media footprint of the suspect in the SUV massacre contains numerous anti-white violent threats in addition to pro-BLM rhetoric.
Darrell Edward Brooks Jr, a 39-year-old black male with a long criminal history, has been identified as the individual allegedly responsible for the horrific rampage in Waukesha, Wisconsin which killed at least five and injured dozens of others, some of them children.
Early reports emerged claiming that the culprit was fleeing the scene of a crime or running from a “knife fight,” although this hasn’t been confirmed and authorities say they are still open to the notion that the tragedy was a terror attack.
As Eric Striker notes, Brooks Jr’s criminal record is lengthy.

“Media reports have confirmed the identity of the alleged driver, Darrell E. Brooks, a registered sex offender who admitted in a video that he pimps children. The career criminal was released back into the streets on a paltry $1000 bond despite being charged with bail-jumping and facing a plethora of violent felonies and misdemeanors just over two weeks ago, according to Wisconsin Court Records.”
Brooks Jr is more well known as the Soundcloud rapper Mathboi Fly. One of his songs titled “Minnesota” covers familiar racial grievance territory and name checks BLM icons George Floyd and Eric Garner while asserting, “Try and use deadly force we gonna go harder. Fuck a price, burn it down, this ain’t Bob Barker.”
In the hours after the attack, researchers began gathering Mathboi Fly’s Facebook posts before his account was deleted.
One post features a black man whipping white men who are enslaved in a cotton field.
Another post from during the George Floyd riots encourages black to commit random violence against white people.

Researchers have also noted that Daniel Thompson, the police chief of Waukesha, led a Black Lives Matter march in June 2020 and made his officers kneel in homage to the extremist movement.
Concerns are therefore growing that any connection between the horrific truck attack BLM will be buried by authorities.
The town where the tragedy happened in 89% white, meaning the vast majority of the victims are likely to be white.
Anthony Fauci appeared on ABC this week to suggest that Americans would need to take COVID ‘booster’ vaccines every six months.
Even though the first two shots didn’t work, Fauci is now urging Americans across the country to take MORE of his failed vaccine.
Fauci has lied about his shot from the beginning, even claiming it was 99%+ effective. We now know that the shot does not protect you from COVID in any way.
You aren’t prevented from getting COVID, spreading COVID, or even getting severely from COVID. Vaccinated people can even die of COVID.
Not to mention that this shot is statistically the most dangerous vaccine ever produced, as deaths from the mRNA COVID vaccine have outpaced the cumulative death count of all other vaccine deaths combined.

Elizabeth Warren, aka Pocahontas, appeared on Joy Reid’s MSNBC show to attempt to shift blame for soaring gas prices. Warren claimed that it was not Biden, but ‘greedy’ oil comapnies that were responsible for the price increases… A BOLD FACED LIE!
Immediately upon coming into office, Joe Biden immediately halted construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. This project was set to be finished within the next few years.
The pipeline was set to add over 500,000 barrels of oil to the U.S. supply each day.
Biden also stopped drilling in ANWR Alaska, a project that had been tried since the Reagan years. It was finally accomplished under President Trump, but stopped by Biden.
Biden signed an order halting all fossil fuel leases on Federal lands, which subsequently ended ANWR drilling. With no more contracts going out, our supply has never been able to regain its footing.
The Biden Administration also worked to have fossil fuel tax credits repealed and given to clean energy companies, furthering the extensive tax burden these companies face.
Essentially, Biden has done nothing but contribute to the soaring gas prices. He won’t increase supply, and continues to act as if he is powerless.
His Energy Secretary even laughed about it on National TV.
This is a hostile regime, dead set on making your life harder. They want empty shelves, astronomical energy prices, and endless profits for their ‘clean energy’ friends.

Portland police declared a riot on Friday night, after protesters, angry at the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse, began smashing windows and hurling objects at the officers.
Some 200 people gathered in downtown Portland, Oregon soon after Rittenhouse was found not guilty of murder in a fatal shooting that saw two men killed and another wounded during violent Black Lives Matter protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin in August 2020. The jury in the case had ruled that the 18-year-old had fired his semi-automatic rifle in self-defense.
The protesters in Portland took out their fury on passing cars, broke windows, and damaged the doors of a number of buildings in the vicinity. Some in the crowd reportedly called for the city’s Justice Center to be burnt down.

The police department declared a riot after what it described as a “violent, destructive group” attempted to breach the gates of the Multnomah County Detention Center. However, they failed to gain entry and were later dispersed.
One person was arrested as a result of the unrest, and the police published a photo of the rear window of one of its vehicles being smashed as part of its efforts to identify the perpetrator.
Last year, Portland became a protest hotspot after the murder of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis. Oregon’s largest city saw months of rallies, which often got out of hand and were marred by clashes, looting, arson, and vandalism, as well as by accusations that the police had used excessive force against demonstrators.
National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Francis Collins has angrily called for anyone who spreads “misinformation” about COVID-19 online to be “brought to justice.”
“Conspiracies are winning here. Truth is losing. That’s a really serious indictment of the way in which our society seems to be traveling,” Collins told the Washington Post.
Citing an onslaught of angry messages directed at Dr. Anthony Fauci, who Collins appears to believe is above criticism, the bureaucrat demanded that those responsible for such behavior should be identified and “brought to justice.”
The article cited one such example of “misinformation” being Fauci’s involvement in barbaric experiments conducted on dogs by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), despite the fact that such cruelty factually occurred under Fauci’s leadership.
While Collins didn’t specify precisely what he meant by “brought to justice,” Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla previously asserted that individuals who spread false information about COVID vaccines are “criminals” who “have literally cost millions of lives.”
That’s an interesting benchmark given that it was once considered false to claim that COVID vaccines didn’t stop the vaccinated spreading COVID, which is now an all too obvious fact.
Quite what constitutes “misinformation” about COVID-19 is anyone’s guess given that several things that turned out to be plausible or true, such as the origin of the virus behind the Wuhan lab, were once deemed to be “misinformation.”
It seems likely that whatever the National Institutes of Health, Anthony Fauci or Pfizer deem to be “misinformation” will become the standard.
As we previously highlighted, efforts to brand those who question the safety and efficacy of products manufactured by pharmaceutical corporations that have been plagued by a myriad of historical scandals are also underway in the UK.
The Online Safety Bill, described as “the flagship legislation to combat abuse and hatred on the internet,” will apparently include a provision that jails “antivaxers spreading false information that they know to be untrue” for a period of two years.
The House passed the $1.7 trillion Build Back Better Act early on Friday morning, sending the bill to the Senate where it faces an uncertain future.
The House passed H.R. 5376, the Build Back Better Act, which is the Democrats’ reconciliation infrastructure bill.
The bill passed 220-213, with overwhelming Democrat support, and strong Republican opposition to the bill.
Only one Democrat, Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME), a swing district Democrat, voted against the bill.
The legislation serves as the marquee legislation for President Joe Biden’s legislative agenda. Biden pinned his legislative majority on passing dual infrastructure bills, the Build Back Better Act, and the $1.2 trillion so-called bipartisan infrastructure bill, otherwise known as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
The Build Back Better Act would massively expand social welfare programs and fund major climate change programs.
The legislation would add $750 billion to the to the deficit over five years.
However, other experts believe that the legislation could cost drastically more, as the legislation uses arbitrary policy sunsets and expirations to make the bill appear less expensive and comply with the rules for budgetary reconciliation.
The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget found that the legislation could cost as much as $4.91 trillion over ten years if Congress were to continue to fund the programs that had the arbitrary policy sunsets.
President Joe Biden and other congressional Democrats have promised that the legislation would cost zero dollars. Democrats are prepared to vote on the legislation as Americans have continued to grapple with inflation, although Biden has claimed that the bill would limit inflation.
The vote happens after House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) held a marathon eight hour, forty-two minute speech railing against President Joe Biden and his “Build Back Better” legislative agenda.
McCarthy now holds the record for the longest speech on the House floor.
Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), the chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC), has catalogued many of the most radical policies in the Build Back Better Act.
Innovation-killing Socialist Price Controls: The bill would institute government price-setting of prescription drugs which has shown to be likely to lead to significantly decreased private investment in new cures. (page 1977)
Funds Biden’s Banking Surveillance Apparatus: The bill would spend $500 million to hire new DOJ Tax Division agents to bring civil and criminal cases against Americans (page 878).
Removes Funding Prohibition Regarding Uyghur Muslins in China: Democrats have removed a provision in the previous draft of the reconciliation bill (Sec. 90027) (pg. 1082) which prohibited any funding provided by the Title on Science, Space and Technology to award a contract, subcontract, grant or loan to an entity involved with using the forced labor of Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang province in China. This would remove protections preventing taxpayer dollars from going to entities using Uyghur Muslim slaves in China.
Tax Pork for Trial Lawyers: (pg. 1970) This provision modifies current law expensing rules to allow plaintiffs’ attorneys to deduct out of pocket litigation costs in the year they are incurred, rather than waiting until the conclusion of the litigation. The provision applies to amounts paid, incurred, or received in taxable years beginning after the date of enactment
OTHER REVIVED POLICIES
Nicotine Tax: The bill would add back language imposing a new tax on nicotine, which is a clear violation of President Biden’s pledge not to tax people that make under $400k. (page 1973)
Tax Credit for Journalists: The bill would add back in language creating a tax credit applied against Medicare employer taxes for wages paid to journalists (page 1957).
21st Century Segregation: The bill would add back $500 million for schools of medicine prioritizing funding based on racial demographics, and requiring faculty to be hired and students to be recruited based on prioritizing racial and demographic characteristics. (page 658)
Left-wing divisive race-baiting. The bill would add back language that continues the left’s divisive and race-baiting attempts to portray everyday Americans as racist and oppressive, claiming all minorities are ‘denied a full opportunity’ to participate in American life. (page 1157)
OTHER NOTABLE EXISTING POLICIES
Billions for “Tree Equity”: The bill would include a $2.5 billion slush fund that would send taxpayer dollars to radical environmental groups to plant trees and advance “tree equity.” (page 18)
Public Health Indoctrination: The bill uses funding for maternal mortality as a tool to advance critical race theory, climate change, and SOGI language. Specifically, it promotes funding for racism and discrimination training curriculum (page 682), funding for health care risks training to promote the left’s climate change agenda (page 689), and refers to pregnant women as pregnant “individuals.” (page 676)
Tax Credits for Electric Bicycles: The bill would create a tax credit worth up to $900 when someone purchases an electric bicycle. And the credit wouldn’t start to phase out until a family makes at least $150,000 a year. (page 1527)
Obamacare Propaganda: The bill would require HHS to advertise the expanded Obamacare tax credits in States that haven’t expanded Medicaid directly to “racial and sexual minorities,” among others, and claims that they are “hard-to-reach.” (page 472)
Subjects small business to reckless tax penalties: The bill subjects small businesses with over $600 in transactions to backup tax withholding requirements if they fail to comply with IRS regulations (page 1932).
Makes it easier for the IRS to target taxpayers: The bill would make it easier for the IRS to issue penalties against taxpayers by removing the requirement that each penalty assessments be approved by a supervisor. Instead, the bill would merely require supervisors to provide quarterly reports on whether IRS employeesare following the proper guidelines and requirements (page 1934).
Money for Gun Control: The bill would spend $2.5 billion for “Community-based Violence Intervention initiatives” which could be used to deny the individual exercise of the 2nd Amendment without due process. (page 876).

Includes legislative hull for Biden’s vaccine mandate: Increases OSHA penalties on businesses that fail to implement the mandate up to $700,000 per violation (page 105) and includes nearly a billion dollars in funding for the Department of Labor to increase enforcement of these penalties (page 103). 22. Gives unions near-total control: The bill creates a new civil penalty against employers up to $100,000 and subjects directors and officers to penalties that wouldn’t apply to union bosses and officials (page 108). It coerces businesses to meet union boss demands by increasing Fair Labor Standards Act penalties by an astronomical 900% (page 105).
23. Makes unions bigger and more powerful: The bill revives a provision from an earlier version that would subsidize union dues that would only serve to strengthen the influence of union bosses and not American workers (page 1955).

25. Furthers radical abortion agenda: The bill would also further Democrats’ radical pro-abortion agenda by allowing taxpayer money to fund elective abortions, subsidizing plans that cover them, and creating new ways taxpayer money could spent on pro-abortion facilities.
26. Drives up costs on Americans’ utility bills: Includes a tax on natural gas eventually up to $1,500 per ton that could cost the American economy up to $9.1 billion and cost 90,000 Americans their jobs (page 361).
27. Includes kickbacks for the Left’s green energy special interest network: $3 billion for “environmental and climate justice block grants” (page 373) and tens of billions more for green energy special interest subsidies, loans and other carve outs.
28. Gives wealthy Americans tax credits: Hundreds of billions of dollars in “green energy” tax credits will be given to those who can afford expensive electric vehicles and other “green” innovative products (page 1434).
29. Furthers Democrats’ social justice agenda: Includes “equity” initiatives throughout the bill. In fact, the word is mentioned 32 times.

Grants Deportation Protection and Work Permits to Illegal Immigrants: The bill would grant 5-year parole to certain illegal aliens who file for parole, pay a fee, and complete a law enforcement background check “to the satisfaction of [Biden’s DHS Secretary].” Such a parole would include both travel and work permits, a REAL ID driver’s license, and would be extendable until 2031 (page 862).
31.Increases visa limit: Democrats would bypass annual limits on immigration by adding unused employment-based visas on top of the existing 226,000 family-preference visa floor and “recapturing” hundreds of thousands of previously issued visas from past years. The bill would also give lottery visas to anyone who was denied one due to the Pandemic or because of President Trump’s immigration policies. (page 865).

Grants fast-tracked green cards for those seeking middle-class careers in America: Language included in the bill exempts certain aliens from the annual green card statutory limits and has been described as a “hidden pipeline for U.S. employers to flood more cheap foreign graduates into millions of middle-class careers needed by American graduates” (page 867).

Increases energy dependence on OPEC, Russia and China: The bill includes mineral and energy withdrawals on federal lands (page 912) and overturns provisions included in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that authorized energy production in the Arctic that will result in 130,000 Americans losing their jobs and $440 billion in lost federal revenue (page 933).
34. Exacerbates the chip shortage: The bill would fund the conversion of the Postal Service and General Services Administration vehicle fleet from internal combustion engines to electric engines at a time when there is a global microchip shortage and crippled supply chains (page 936).
35. Democrats’ feckless China bill is included: Concepts from the insanely weak Endless Frontier Act included, including billions of dollars in research funding that will likely result in American intellectual property going to China (page 954)).
36. Punishes red states for failing to adopt Green New Deal provisions: Mandates “consequences” for conservative states that don’t meet the radical Left’s “green” climate standards while at the same time adding nearly $4 billion for “Community Climate Incentive Grants” for cooperating states (page 1013).
37. Paid Worker Leave Entitlement for the Unemployed: The new paid leave entitlement would mandate workers get 4 weeks of paid leave under which workers could “self-attest” their eligibility and do not even need to be currently employed. (page 1065).
38.Advances a totalitarian and paternalistic view of the federal government: Includes grants for organizations to treat individuals suffering from “loneliness” and “social isolation.”(page 1252)
39. Further detaches individuals from employment and more reliant on government handouts: The bill spends hundreds of billions on welfare through manipulating the tax code [not even including the expansions of Obamacare subsidies] (page 1636).
40. Tax benefits for the top 1%: The bill would increase by more than seven-fold the cap on state and local tax deductibility, meaning many of the top 1% wealthiest Americans would pay less in taxes. (page 1729)
41. Tax credit for wealthy donors who give to woke universities: The bill creates a new tax credit program that gives tax credits worth 40% of cash contribution that are made to university research programs (page 1717).
42. Expands worst parts of Obamacare: Obamacare’s job-killing employer mandate will become more severe by adjusting the definition of “affordable coverage” to mean coverage that costs no more than 8.5 percent of income rather than current law’s 9.5 percent of income (page 1656).
43. Increases taxes on Americans at every income level: The bill’s trillions of dollars in tax hikes will be felt by those making under $400,000 per year, contrary to what the White House says.
44. Lowers wages for working families and moves jobs overseas: The 15% minimum tax on book income is a double tax on investment. This would raise taxes on American companies by hundreds of billions of dollars, kill 25,000 jobs, and reduce wages by 0.1%, all in the name of complying with Biden’s desire to appease global elites through a global minimum tax. (page 1731)
45. Penalizes marriage: The bill would double the EITC’s marriage penalty on childless worker benefits (page 1651).
46. Imposes crushing taxes on small business: Hammer small businesses that file as individual tax earners with Obamacare’s 3.8% tax on net investment income(page 1883).
47. Violates Americans’ financial privacy: $80 billion slush fund to hire an 87,000-IRS-agent army that would be used to carry out the Biden administration’s plan to review every account with more than $10,000 worth of transactions in a year. The plan includes hiring 5,000 new armed criminal agents. (page 1923).
48. Increases out of pocket costs for those who rely on prescription drugs: The bill will repeal the Trump- era Rebate Rule which passes through rebates directly to consumers at the point of sale (page 2114).
The legislation will go to the Senate, where it remains uncertain if moderate Democrats such Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema will support the bill. Manchin has expressed concerns about the paid leave program and remains concerned about how the bill might impact inflation. Democrats cannot afford to lose one vote to pass the bill.

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) urged the Justice Dept. to review the not guilty verdict handed down in the Kyle Rittenhouse case Friday, claiming it represented a “miscarriage of justice.”
Reacting to the verdict on Twitter, the House Judiciary chairman falsely claimed the 18-year-old Rittenhouse crossed state lines armed and looking for trouble.
“This heartbreaking verdict is a miscarriage of justice and sets a dangerous precedent which justifies federal review by DOJ,” the top Democrat tweeted.

Rep. Nadler is dead wrong, however, as Kenosha Newsreported Rittenhouse was not armed when he drove to Wisconsin.
The Independent notes, “It’s not clear exactly how a Justice Department review of the case would play out, as the agency only has the power to investigate law enforcement agencies. It has no power to ‘intervene on matters of state law’, according to its own website.”
On Friday, a jury delivered not guilty verdicts on all five charges Rittenhouse was facing.
A statement later released by the White House, however, claimed Biden was “angry and concerned” over the acquittal, and told Americans with similar sentiments to “express their views peacefully, consistent with the rule of law.”
With the two top Democrats nearly echoing similar language, it would not be surprising to see federal charges against Rittenhouse in the near future.
