Wes Moore is the 2022 Democrat Nominee for Governor in the State of Maryland. He was selected by the Maryland Democrats on July 19th to represent their party in the general election. In a contested primary filled with many candidates, Moore won a decided victory.

An investigation into Wes Moore’s donations reveal an extreme level of outside influence being leveraged by the Maryland Democrats.

Moore did not rely on the average Marylander for his donations, instead, he received hundreds of large donations from wealthy investment bankers and Hollywood elites.

CEO of Netflix Reed Hastings gave Moore $6k.

Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow (going by the last name Falchuk) and Julie Bowen each donated to Moore’s campaign. Paltrow gave $6k, while Bowen gave $3k.

Actor Samuel L. Jackson also donated to the campaign. One must ask themselves, why are these Hollywood stars interested in the results of the Maryland Governor’s Race?

Other members of Hollywood like ‘Illumination’ CEO Chris Meledandri and Executive Producer Jeffery Pechter also donated to Moore.

As I kept digging through the Maryland Campaign Finance filings, I continued to find evidence that donors and supporters of Governor Larry Hogan are continuing to align behind Wes Moore.

Kevin Plank, a prolific Hogan supporter, donated $6k to Moore. Members of his family also gave the maximum $6k to Moore. John, Jesse, and Margaret Plank each donated the maximum.

I also discovered that the creator of Curio Wellness, one of the only licensed distributors of medical marijuana in the State of Maryland gave to Moore. Michael Bronfein donated to Wes Moore through several different avenues.

Bronfield paid Moore through his company, Curio Wellness. He also donated $6k through his company ‘RLC Capital Management’.

Keep in mind, Curio Wellness was close enough to Larry Hogan to receive one of eighteen licenses to distribute medicinal marijuana in the entire state.

Amazon has been another company that has benefited from the Hogan Administration. Amazon has built at least one massive distribution center in Maryland within the last few years.

The parents of Jeff Bezos, Jacklyn and Miguel Bezos, also gave $6k to Wes Moore. Among other famous relatives who donated is daughter of Michael Bloomberg, Emma Bloomberg.

Big business has completely aligned behind Wes Moore in this race. Many of the same mega-corporations who supported, and received beneficial treatment from the Hogan Administration.

Maybe most troubling of all is a donor by the name of Das Nobel. He created and co-founded the MTX Group. This group is working on health surveillance and vaccine management solutions.

It is clear from viewing the donors of the Wes Moore campaign that Maryland would be subject to a serious amount of outside influence if Wes Moore were to win this election in November.

What’s possibly even more troubling is the fact that we continue to see glaring links between the Hogan Administration, and the plans for a possible ‘Wes Moore Administration’. The MDGOP truly has no shame.

This campaign is about extreme wealth and power, something Maryland has had more than enough of. We must ask ourselves, why are these outside influences so keen on effecting the results of this particular race?

Last week both candidates for Governor in Maryland headed down to Baltimore City in order to assist in handing out bottled water. West Baltimore is currently under a ‘boil advisory’ as an E. Coli contamination was discovered earlier in the week.

Republican candidate Dan Cox assisted in passing out water from Deliverance Temple Sanctuary Ministries and Simmons Memorial Baptist Church.

Democrat candidate Wes Moore, however, was handing out water that was donated by Home Depot. Home Depot reportedly donated 500 cases of water to be distributed by the Moore campaign. The question is, why is Home Depot assisting Wes Moore in his campaign?

To understand the level of their friendship, we must look to a 2018 donation Mangum made to the Republican Governor’s Association. He donated a total $20k to the RGA on 5/15/18.

Larry Hogan would take his seat as the Vice Chairman of the Republican Governor’s Association just a month later on 6/21/18. A mere coincidence?

Mangum owned Bell Nursery LLC, which just so happened to control every Home Depot Nursery in the State of Maryland. The Bell Nursery website even brags about how closely they work with the management of Home Depot.

From there, I began to look into the political donations of Gary Mangum. I wanted to see who he was donating to in this prior cycle. I encountered some of the usual suspects.

He gave $6k to Kelly Schulz, the Hogan choice for Governor on April 23rd, 2021. Mangum also gave $6k to her Lt. Governor Jeff Woolford.

Mangum also assisted Hogan’s own daughter, Jaymi Sterling, with $5k on November 12th, 2021. Sterling won her nomination for State’s Attorney in St. Mary’s County on July 19th.

We expected Gary Mangum, great friend of Larry Hogan, to donate to the political allies and family of Larry Hogan. That is why he also gave money to MDGOP Chair Dirk Haire’s wife, Jessica Haire, who won her nomination for Anne Arundel County Executive.

The MDGOP Establishment is firmly behind Larry Hogan. That is why they have been silent as Hogan continues to levy attacks on Republican nominee Dan Cox and his supporters throughout the mainstream media.

Mangum also gave to Nicolee Ambrose, who this site has covered many times in the recent past.

Hogan, as I have reported, is gearing up for a 2024 Presidential run. He has everything lined up. These people are looking to ride his coattails, and to burn their voters in the process.

Mangum also donated to Barry Glassman, a disgraced candidate for Harford County Executive who was exposed for donating money to Wes Moore. Moore turned around and funded his opponent.

He donated to many top Democrats across the State. He donated a total of $1500 to Democrat Gubernatorial candidate Peter Franchot.

He also gave to Democrat Anthony Brown, who is currently running for Attorney General. It should be noted that before Michael Anthony Peroutka secured the nomination, Mangum donated to Hogan-endorsed Jim Shalleck. Shalleck was defeated.

Mangum also donated to State Senate Democrat Antonio Hayes who represents the 40th District in Baltimore City. Yet another Democrat supported by this ally of Larry Hogan.

Why would a top supporter of Larry Hogan, Republican Governor, be putting money into Democrat campaigns? Not just any Democrat campaigns, but people like Anthony Brown and Peter Franchot?

It points to larger issues within the Maryland Republican Party. The people that control the MDGOP are wholly against the people that they claim to represent, and so are their donors.

There is no question, based on the evidence in this article that Gary Mangum not only has close ties to Larry Hogan, but that he also has ties to the management at Home Depot.

We also know from his donations that he is more than willing to fund Democrats… Is it possible that Hogan ally Gary Mangum arranged this donation of 500 cases of water to the Wes Moore campaign?

Keep in mind, Larry Hogan did take the opportunity to take many smiling photos with Wes Moore just last month. He has conversely used every opportunity to trash Republican nominee Dan Cox and his supporters in the media.

It is vitally important to remember that within these political donations lies a certain amount of influence. We revealed earlier in this article that Mangum gave $1000 to Jessica Haire.

Haire, as a Councilmember, introduced a bill in which nursery regulations (the same kind run by Gary Mangum) received an update. This bill was called Bill 57-22.

This bill would have directly benefitted Mr. Mangum, any coincidence that he also donates to her campaign? Do we elect politicians to serve We the People, or their wealthy donors?

This site is not the first to discuss Hogan donors going to Wes Moore, as the Washington Post ran an article on the subject just last week. You have to ask yourself, how can the donors and leaders of the Maryland Republican Party lead us into a general election whilst endorsing our opponents?

Did Gary Mangum help get these 500 cases of water for Wes Moore? It’s a question worth asking.

Nicolee Ambrose is a Republican candidate for the House of Representatives in District 2 of Maryland. This site has chronicled the illegality of her campaign, as Nicolee also holds the position of Comitteewoman to the RNC. It is illegal, per the Maryland Republican Party bylaws, for party officials to also run for office.

Unfortunately, Nicolee secured her nomination on July 19th as the Republican Nominee in District 2. She was boosted by an equally illegal endorsement by David Bossie, Ambrose’s counterpart and Committeeman to the RNC.

Ambrose continued to violate party law as she stood with Kelly Schulz outside of the Maryland State House with MDGOP Chair Dirk Haire and RINO Governor Larry Hogan.

After reviewing the FEC.gov profile of Ambrose, this site has even more questions. Her profile includes many questionable donations.

Firstly, she received a total of $5000 from her friend David Bossie’s PAC ‘Citizens United‘. The donation itself is questionable, a party official giving his friend a donation in a contested primary that she isn’t legally allowed to participate in?

The most questionable part of the donation is that a group called ‘End Citizens United‘, solely created to oppose Dave Bossie’s organization, also donated $5000 to Ambrose.

Even stranger, the donations occurred on the exact same day. April 25th, 2022.

The party officials, steeped in violations of the law, are not even capable of being loyal to themselves.

Next we see donations from anti-Trump member of the Lincoln Project Michael Steele, who donated $1000 to Ambrose twice, both to be used for the Primary Election.

If it weren’t enough to have David Bossie illegally endorsing her, or continuing to illegally run her campaign whilst serving as Committeewoman to the RNC, Ambrose had to take in thousands of dollars from MDGOP Dirk Haire.

The stated donation limit for each race per Federal Law is $2900, meaning that candidates may legally receive $2900 for the general election and primary election. Total being $5800.

The records on FEC.gov show that MDGOP Chair Dirk Haire donated $2900 to Ambrose for the primary THREE separate times, which would EXCEED the legal limit for the primary election by $5800.

Dirk Haire’s wife, Jessica Haire, the Republican nominee for Anne Arundel County Executive also donated to Ambrose later on during the campaign, just weeks before the 7/19 primary.

Both of these donations are currently marked for the primary, meaning that the federal limit would have been exceeded by $2900 by Jessica Haire.

Other donors include famous anti-Trumper Morton Blackwell who runs the Leadership Institute. Blackwell ALSO appears to have donated more than the legal limit, also by $5800

There is no question that between Michael Steele of the Lincoln Project and Morton Blackwell, the forces aligned behind Nicolee Ambrose are certainly against the America First movement.

We must ask ourselves if as Republicans people like this belong in our party. More importantly, why is our Republican Leadership so incredibly comfortable with breaking the law?

Even beyond these donations, recorded on a government website, the lawlessness of Nicolee’s candidacy and lack of any kind of punishment she has received because of it tells us everything we need to know about the MDGOP.

They seem to be just fine with corruption. We the voters, must be the ultimate deciders. Are we content with people who take money from Lincoln Project members? People who take money from contradicting special interest groups? Candidates whose campaigns are created in illegality?
