Florida Governor Ron DeSantis vowed to take executive action to ensure that Florida residents are not forced to take a vaccine in order to live their lives. He also condemned the practice of businesses or governments requiring vaccines as unacceptable.
Governor DeSantis went on to say that the vaccine passports had ‘huge privacy implications’. He then urged the Speaker of the Florida House to bring forth legislation to further protect Floridians from overreaching government.
Florida will remain FREE!
There is no doubt that Florida is one of the freest states in the union. Florida never implemented a mask mandate. Florida has refused to close restaurants and bars. A big reason for that is Ron DeSantis. He refused to cave and bow to the mob. When they told him what to do, he told them to go to hell.
As a result, Florida has the best economy in the nation. Along with death rates similar to California, the ULTIMATE lock down utopia. Florida is STANDING UP and WINNING. A perfect example of how to defeat cancel culture, and the left.
Ron DeSantis is a perfect example of what we need in American government. People who are unabashedly willing to defend the rights of the people. Even President Trump caved before Governor Desantis.
I am personally hoping that Desantis will run for President in 2024. I believe that he has the grit and toughness that we need to deal with an overreaching, out of control establishment. The only fear would be missing out on his second term in Florida.
Every politician has an answer. Whether it’s raising this, or lowering that, politicians always make it clear that THEY have the solutions. THEY know how to fix it. We have sat back and watched these lunatics destroy our country for the last 50 years. Now we sit at a sort of a crossroads.
Half of the country is essentially under martial law. Restaurant owners spend their days worrying if contact tracers will shut them down again. Customers nervously pull up their masks in fear of being judged. Plexiglass separates us. In our schools, our children are ordered to strap masks. They are rarely even given the opportunity to converse with each other.
Why do we put up with it? Why are there so many people willing to trade their freedoms for a little bit of false security?
Trust.
For too long, we have allowed institutions that HATE the American people to continue to operate in America. (sometimes being funded by the taxpayer, ironically)
The people of this country have lost the tenacity to say no, and the willingness to fight open corruption, lies, and deceit.
The end result is a confusing, dopey, fraudulent, eye sore of a government/corporate/woke hybrid. An illegitimate entity that chews up individuality and spits out a bland line of nothing.
What have the schools in this country become? Professors openly preach Communism. They spit at our anti-government values and our country, while telling and teaching our children that we the people are the cause of America’s failure.

For instance, how did the Vietnam War start? Ever heard of the Gulf of Tonkin? The U.S military LIED to the American People about a Vietnamese ship confronting them in the Gulf of Tonkin in order to start the Vietnam War.
How Al Qaeda come about? Where did they start? Well, the United States TRAINED AND FUNDED THEM in the 1980s to combat Soviet presence in Afghanistan. The Government trained Al Qaeda, as a matter of public record.
Where do you think I would be if I had trained Al Qaeda? I wouldn’t be typing this, surely. I’d be arrested, at least, but most likely I would have been hunted down and killed. Not the government. Not the CIA. They continue to operate.
What about 9/11? Did you know that George W. Bush, ON RECORD, received a memo on August 6th, 2001 detailing Osama Bin Laden’s plot to crash commercial jets into skyscrapers… Imagine if YOU had received that Intel and had done nothing… Would the government have mercy on YOU? I think NOT.
These are HUGE events, and a peering look into the facts that media REFUSES to cover. Government doesn’t talk about them. Government schools SURELY don’t arm their students with this kind of information.
This isn’t new. Like the ‘boiling frog’ approach, this has been a long process. It started in the 60s. Since then, academia has been on a slow march to pure communism. Now, it has become so bad that Conservative students rarely even attend college. Forget conservatives, even moderates are dropping out now. This was never more obvious than with Bret Weinstein, a self described liberal, biologist, who taught at Evergreen University in Washington. In 2017, the students of Evergreen organized a ‘day of absence’ for every white person on campus. Only ‘people of color’ would be allowed for the day. Weinstein said no. He refused to leave campus, rightfully so.
Bret Weinstein had to quit because of his stand…. He didn’t beg for his job. He didn’t cower to the mob. He won his court case against Evergreen University, winning $500k and has been making media appearances ever since.
He said this about the ‘day of absence’….
“There is a huge difference between a group or coalition deciding to voluntarily absent themselves from a shared space in order to highlight their vital and underappreciated roles , and a group encouraging another group to go away,”
Weinstein wrote on a campus email list.
“The first is a forceful call to consciousness, which is, of course, crippling to the logic of oppression. The second is a show of force, and an act of oppression in and of itself.”
We see it all the time. Organizations caving to the woke mob. Just this month, New York Schools fired two teachers for refusing to do a ‘wakanda salute’, whatever that is, from the movie ‘Black Panther’. How ironic.
Could it be that the movie called ‘Black Panther’ might actually be the racist?

If you see a business supporting Black Lives Matter, don’t go there. If a business requires you to wear a mask, don’t pay them a penny. If you see a business complying with the illegal contact tracing, leave. Don’t support them.

Andrew Cuomo has announced a rollout of a COVID 19 Vaccination pass in New York called the ‘Excelsior Pass’.
In a complete violation of the fourth amendment, his order forces businesses to screen their customers for vaccination. The policy will implement a QR code app needing to be scanned to enter any business. If a customer has not been vaccinated, they will not be allowed into a business in the state of New York. This is the level of tyranny that we are dealing with. Completely insane, and unhinged.
The SAME EXACT Andrew Cuomo that covered up as much as 50% of the COVID deaths in his state. This is the SAME Andrew Cuomo that has had at least SEVEN people come out and accuse him of sexual harassment, in one case referring the charges to the Albany Police Department.
This guy is an absolute GOON.
Now he is moving to implement forced vaccinations, as it would be impossible to enter a business, like a GROCERY STORE, in the State of New York without a vaccine.
Our Fourth Amendment CLEARLY states…
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
We The People, regardless of our beliefs about the vaccine, must stand together against this kind of blatant medical tyranny. If you support the vaccine, and want to get it, FINE. You don’t get to force it on everybody else. Forced

Robert Byrd was a Democrat who served in the U.S Senate for 51 years, from 1959 until his death in 2010. Byrd was a lifelong democrat.
He was also a local chapter leader of the KKK. Byrd described his involvement in the KKK in this Washington Post article. Byrd describes the KKK as the avenue he used to ‘launch his political career’.
He goes into detail about interactions he had with the ‘grand wizard’ of the KKK, even admitting that it was the former ‘grand dragon’, Joel L. Baskin, that convinced him to enter politics.
Byrd admits to recruiting over 150 people into the KKK. Byrd also led the filibuster against the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
None of that mattered to the democrats… They AGREED with Byrd’s politics.
Biden, along with Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Bill Clinton, and other top democrats eulogized the former senator on the steps of the Capitol just TEN years ago.
Just ten years ago, Biden referred to Byrd as being held in ‘incredible esteem’.
He claimed that Byrd ‘ELEVATED the Senate’.
Biden also claimed that Congress was ‘Robert Byrd’s CATHEDRAL’. He went on to say that he was not using hyperbole.
Biden goes on to call Byrd ‘special’. You can watch the rest of the brown nosing in the clip above. It goes on for 20 minutes. Biden obviously had a lot of love in his heart for this racist.
Biden is no stranger to racism, as he told black Americans that ‘if they supported Trump, They ain’t black!’

On March 25th, just before the long-awaited press conference of Joey Biden, Politico published the following headline:
“Secret Service Inserted Itself Into Case of Hunter Biden’s Gun”
The articles goes on to say…
“On Oct 23d, 2018, President Joe Biden’s son Hunter and daughter-in-law Hallie were involved is a bizarre incident in which Hallie took Hunter’s gun (reported to be a 38cal revolver) and threw it into a trash can behind a grocery store, only to return later to find it gone. Delaware police began investigating, concerned that the trash can was across from a high school and that the missing gun could be used in a crime.”
So far, it is a routine report on Hunter Biden — He buys a gun, shows it to his paramour, who is his dead brother’s wife … with whom he is intimately familiar in the biblical sense. She does not like guns and proceeds to throw it in a “trash can.” But, as Politico goes on to report:
…a curious thing happened at that time: Secret Service agents approached the owner of the store where Hunter bought the gun and asked to take the paperwork involving the sale, according to two people, one of whom has firsthand knowledge of the episode and another was briefed by a Secret Service agent after the fact”
Let’s stop here and unpack what we are being told about this “bizarre incident.”
First, we must ask ourselves why and how is the US Secret Service tipped off that Hunter Biden has even bought a gun?
Biden and Secret Service
We now know that when filling out the mandatory ATF Form 4473, Firearms Transaction Record, in order to purchase the gun, Hunter Biden lied about his drug use and abuse — a serious problem that is a clear matter of public record. The question on the form is straight forward. It asks:
“Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?”
The form was clearly marked “NO” which constitutes lying on a federal background check!
So, now we ask — how did the US Secret Service know to go to that gun store and inquire about Hunter Biden? The ATF Form 4473 is sent electronically to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS.
The NICS staff performs a background check on the buyer. That background check verifies the buyer does not have a criminal record or isn’t otherwise ineligible to purchase or own a firearm. Here is an example of the ATF Form 4473.
So, is it possible that someone at the NICS saw Hunter’s application come through — and realized that Hunter had just committed a federal felony and then notified the US Secret Service to go out there immediately and “FIX” this problem? Or did NICS call Joey himself … who then sent the Secret Service?
Then, we are confronted with the response from the Secret Service that they do not have any record of such an incident. However, we know from the earlier reporting that the gun store owner says that two Secret Service agents approached him in his store, showed their credentials and asked for the ATF form. Now consider that most, if not all, gun stores in this country are equipped with video surveillance.

There should be a footprint of this Secret Service visit — and if there is, can we assume that the deep state is at work trying to cover it up? The store owner refused to hand over the document to the Secret Service telling them that his responsibility was to the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms … the ATF! Well, it does not take long for ATF agents to make an appearance at the gun store demanding the same information that had been denied to the Secret Service. Did the Secret Service call the ATF — or did the ATF act on their own?
This is exactly what Hunter Biden attested to by signing the ATF form:
“I certify that my answers in Section B are true, correct, and complete. I have read and understand the Notices, Instructions, and Definitions on ATF Form 4473. I understand that answering “yes” to question 21.a. if I am not the actual transferee/buyer is a crime punishable as a felony under Federal law, and may also violate State and/or local law. I understand that a person who answers “yes” to any of the questions 21.b. through 21.k. is prohibited from receiving or possessing a firearm. I understand that a person who answers “yes” to question 21.l.1. is prohibited from receiving or possessing a firearm, unless the person answers “yes” to question 21.l.2. and provides the documentation required in 26.d. I also understand that making any false oral or written statement, or exhibiting any false or misrepresented identification with respect to this transaction, is a crime punishable as a felony under Federal law, and may also violate State and/or local law. I further understand that the repetitive purchase of firearms for the purpose of resale for livelihood and profit without a Federal firearms license is a violation of Federal law.“
While we ponder the intricacies of this obvious violation of federal law and the ensuing coverup, let’s remember what Joey and his ilk are trying to do to the law-abiding gun owners of America … that is, law-abiding gun owners who filled out the same ATF Form 4473, without telling a lie to deceive the system … Joey now wants to impose additional checks on them — WHY? It appears to the interested observer that the current system of checking is doing exactly what it is supposed to be doing — checking an individual’s background and identifying those who should lawfully be denied the purchase of a gun!
What is not supposed to happen is what we are seeing happen here. There was no denial of purchase because the name Hunter Biden set off alarm bells in the NICS and an approval was authorized —- we can surmise that on further review and recognition that the Hunter Biden had lied about his well-publicized drug use on the ATF form — the coverup began.
Remember, all of this was taking place when the NICS was running millions of background checks — yet they were able to identify this one. So, if they can identify this one transaction, they can certainly identify any other individual that is trying to beat the system —
Conclusion: We have plenty of laws in place to deal with the issue of lawful gun purchases in America. Any further attempts by the Joey Administration or his Congressional henchmen are a clear violation of the Second Amendment and must be resisted through legal channels.

However, the people looking to GREATLY EXPAND these gun laws happen to be the same people who are ABOVE those same laws. The 2020 election was like nothing that we have ever seen before. Many Americans went to bed thinking that their current President, Donald Trump, was re-elected. As we all know, that didn’t happen. The corruption and madness of this election brought Launch Liberty into the fight. Republicans in Georgia were able to pass sweeping voting reform including many things republicans have been fighting for since November 4th, 2020.
They include
1) Voter I.D. Requirements For Absentee Voting
Voter I.D. was previously required for in person voting in Georgia, but now a valid I.D. will be required to request and submit a ballot. This ends the ballot harvesting loophole that allowed democrats to steal the state of Georgia in 2020.
The previous system of verification was a signature verification system, which allowed for higher numbers of fraudulent ballots.
You need an I.D. to fish, hunt, drive, buy a beer, buy a pack of cigarettes, or even buy medicine. There is absolutely no reason that an I.D. isn’t required to vote, besides outright FRAUD.
2) Removes Secretary Of State From Top of Election Board
The Secretary of State will no longer be the head of the election board. In 2020, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger refused to review the vote tallies in a now infamous phone call with President Trump. The media carpet bombed us with coverage of that call. What they failed to tell you was that President Trump was referring to the amount of votes that the secretary of state office ADMITTED were fraudulent.
Trump was looking at a total of HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS, asking for the 90,000 or so that he needed.
The Secretary of State, a non elected official, will no longer be in charge of elections. That power will be instead correctly bestowed upon the State Legislator, an elected body, as prescribed by the Constitution.
3) Expands Early Voting
Though the democrat-media complex will spin a tale of lies about this part of the bill, it actually does expand early voting.
As you can see, it expands opportunities for people to vote on the weekends, early, to avoid a similar situation to 2020.

Democrats wasted no time losing their collective minds over the passing of this bill. CNN is running INSANE headlines today comparing these simple voting reforms to the JIM CROWE LAWS.
Voter I.D is not Jim Crowe. Obviously. The democrats say things like that when their back is against the wall. They will NEVER be able to steal the state of Georgia again, and they know it. That is why they kick, and scream, and writhe around on the floor like toddlers, screaming ‘RACIST’.

Joe Biden absolutely stumbled through his first press conference just yesterday. No, that is not a typo. It took 65 DAYS for Joe Biden to have a press conference. He didn’t reassure anybody, as Biden looked tired, old, and confused as he muddled through the pre-screened questions from reporters.
A picture was taken of Biden from the side, revealing that he had a cheat sheet with reporters faces on it. A literal picture diagram of the reporters, with what seems to be notes about them underneath.
It is a very troubling idea to think that a man who requires a literal picture diagram of reporters to have a press conference is responsible for the nuclear arsenal, military, and entire executive branch.
Is this how much this man is struggling?
At first, I thought “maybe the room is full, and he is just struggling. After all he IS 78.”
Then I saw the room.
The White House press room ain’t as crowded as it used to be. Not after the current administration created the policy of charging each member of the press $170 per person, per day, for COVID testing. Media teams are seldom one reporter. They have cameramen, and other personnel that have to be there as well.
The result is one that is all too common, the smaller outlets are crushed and unable to cover the President. The big media has no problem paying the hefty fines. They make PLENTY of money pushing lies.
Biden wasn’t limited to picture book notes either.
He stumbled and staggered to complete simple sentences, often stopping mid answer and changing his tone and direction.
This man is not fit to lead this country. He needs to be removed from office.
I happen to believe that this was the goal all along. I believe that after watching this man struggle to form syllables for an HOUR, that he is not capable of executing the duties of the office. I don’t think there is a chance in hell that this guy is actually doing anything.
Just as Biden has relinquished control of the southern border to Kamala Harris, I believe he has relinquished most of his duties to partisan appointees. Bureaucratic lawyers who spend their lives slithering through the swamps of D.C. They are the ones running things.
This is not only dangerous, but wrong. We cannot continue to allow this man, and this administration, to take advantage of this country. There is a question as to whether we can survive FOUR years of this administration. If Republicans fail to regain the legislature in 2022, I fear that things will get very tough.
Georgia has just passed voting reform. Arizona is working on voting reform.
Michigan has ruled that the Secretary of State acted illegally, and Wisconsin is in a full on investigation over the election.
We are laying the groundwork for a RED WAVE in 2022.
We The People must do everything in our power to ensure that democrats DO NOT maintain control of the Legislature in 2022, and we must be EXTRA sure to make sure that we end the democrat control of the Executive branch in 2024.

Well folks, here we are. Just as we were with the Obama administration, they are coming for the guns.
The Supreme Court is actively reviewing a case in which a man’s guns were taken without a warrant. Joe Biden’s White House is urging the court to side with the “community care giving” exemptions, and allow a man to be disarmed without a warrant, legally. This precedent is far from what our founding fathers would have considered constitutional.
Most of the things that our government does in this day and age, are FAR from what the founding father envisioned.
We are in the midst of a battle for the soul of America, and we are losing. Several radical, anti-republic bills have been able to pass the house, and a looming removal of the filibuster could see legislation jammed through congress like never before.

Congress passed a ‘COVID Relief Bill’, signed by Joe Biden, that included less then 9% of the money to fight Covid. In a $1.9 trillion plan, Americans only received a pitiful $1400, barely enough to cover one months rent in most areas. They spent most of the money on handouts to foreign countries, along with greasing some important administrative hands at the government offices. Federal employees benefited the most from this bill.
While these laws are horrid, awful, and surely unconstitutional, they pale in comparison to the gun control bills. Gun control is the single most dangerous policy that the government can practice. We have seen verification of this fact in the strict democrat cities of Baltimore, Oakland, St. Louis, Chicago, and Detroit. The carnage their is unmatched anywhere in the world. The common fact of them all is simple. Democrat controlled. Not only democrat controlled, but democrat controlled for DECADES.
The House passed a bill, just weeks ago, that would ban over 200 types of weapons. This includes most guns with magazines. The ban would also stretch to semi automatic rifles. Marc King exposed the lies about the AR-15. It is not a weapon of war, or designed for carnage. It is a sporting rifle modeled to look like a weapon of war.
It gets scarier.
Sheila Jackson Lee, a House rep from Texas, brought forth legislation earlier this year called “H.R. 127”. H.R. 127 is the most radical piece of legislation that I have ever seen (maybe barring the green new deal). It would create a national gun registry, a long dismissed motive of the left, and expand background checks to include psychological evaluation. This bill would permit the federal government to interview your ex girlfriends, friends, mother, father, or any acquaintance or relative to see if you are ‘fit’ to excercise your second amendment.
Joe Biden has endorsed the House passed gun control measures. The democrats are hoping to jam this legislation through in the wake of the Boulder and Atlanta shootings. Joe Biden even used his address to the nation to promote his gun control agenda.
Even though it has been revealed that the shooter was on an FBI watch list, and was STILL able to purchase a gun just DAYS before the shooting.
I have little faith in our Supreme Court. They have, again and again, failed to stand up for what is written in the Constitution. In an election where the Michigan Secretary of State violated election laws to allow fraudulent ballots to be counted, the Supreme Court did nothing.
The pundits will tell you that we must rely on the court. That is the difference between Launch Liberty and the pundits. We will tell you the truth.
You can’t rely on the court. You won’t be able to rely on the court. They are establishment, and they will let you down every single time.
My friends, it is going to be UP TO US to stand up to this administration. Who am I talking about? We the people. Not of a certain race. Not of a certain religion. Not of a certain party. Not of a certain class. Not of a certain background. We the people, united as one MUST convey to our government officials…
YOU WILL NEVER TAKE OUR GUNS.
Our second amendment is not up for debate. it is not for a court to decide, or a judge to withhold. It is written IN OUR CONSTITUTION,
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
You SHALL NOT INFRINGE upon our right to keep and bear arms. We the people will stand up to your government thugs if you attempt to confiscate. You will NEVER disarm the American people.
We need to make this CLEAR to all of these democrats. They have forgotten who is in charge. They have no right.
Our statement doesn’t end there.
Unconstitutional gun measures have gone too far in our country. We have allowed the corporations and governments disarm us to the point of helplessness. I have watched my fellow american’s cower from a mass shooter more times than I could count. Each time being in a place where the victims were disarmed, thus empowering the sick villain scum to kill as many as they please. We need to not only draw our line in the sand and say..
WE WILL NOT REGISTER OUR GUNS. WE WILL NOT TURN OUR GUNS IN.
But also…
WE DEMAND NATIONAL CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY. END UNCONSTITUTIONAL GUN CONTROL = ENDING MASS SHOOTINGS.
It is within the capabilities of every American to defend his/her country, people, and family. It is the government which gets in the way of that, by legislating it’s people into a state of unarmed helplessness. We need to take action TODAY to institute the TRUE SECOND AMENDMENT across our great country.
We all remember when the Feds attempted the seize land that was owned by the Bundys. It is a shining example of why our second amendment is a key instrument in a peaceful revolt against tyranny.
LET THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DEFEND THEMSELVES. When the PEOPLE are given arms, they deescalate. When government is the only one with the guns, you end up with Stalin’s Soviet Union, or Mao’s China. Hundreds of millions killed.

The fate of our second and fourth amendment hangs in the balance today. Our Supreme Court is set to hear Canigilia vs. Strom, a case in which the petitioner, Edward Caniglia, is attempting to nullify unconstitutional Massachusetts gun laws that allowed his guns to be seized in 2015 without a warrant.
The clause that was used to take Mr. Caniglia’s weapons is called a “community caretaking” exemption.
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Government is not allowed to make laws regulating the ability of the citizens to maintain and bear arms. That means that the “CCW” carry permit system is ILLEGAL.
Open carry was common place, a sign of respect, until government decided that it was too extreme. They instead opt, in many states, to make “concealed carry”, something that had always been illegal, permissible by government. In this way they can generate revenue for themselves, and keep the average person from being able to defend themselves.
Because of our relaxed attitude towards gun regulation and restrictions, our government has gotten to the point of openly advocating for warrantless gun seizure. In order to ensure government NEVER gets this cocky again, we the people MUST fight to restore the TRUE second amendment.
Government WILL NOT make laws infringing upon the right of the people to keep and bear arms. If we get back to this, we will have LESS mass shootings.
Our Fourth Amendment reads…
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
Government IS NOT permitted the power to ENTER your home without a warrant. They are not permitted to randomly frisk you. They are not permitted to randomly search your car. We have allowed our Government to get away with things like this for far too long, and now they are bringing us pure tyranny.
The “community caretaking” exemption IS ILLEGAL. It is a DIRECT violation of the SECOND and FOURTH Amendments.
This Supreme Court case would set the precedent that government could enter your home, and seize your guns without a warrant. There could not be a clearer violation of our Constitution.
We have to pray that the Supreme Court will do the RIGHT THING, and uphold our Constitution. The court failed multiple times to uphold the integrity of our elections, so I have little faith that they will do their job.
If this is upheld, our constitutional rights will be under assault like never before.

What You Should Know About The “Scary Black Gun”
On March 22, 2021, another mass shooting took place in Boulder, Colorado. Nine shoppers in a supermarket and one Police Officer were shot and killed. We condemn all such events.
We have more to learn about the shooter and his motives; but the Socialist Left and Joey Biden did not waste any time in focusing in on the gun that was used by the shooter — an AR-15, commonly called an “Assault Weapon” … The Scary Black Gun.
But here are the real facts…
“A common misconception about the AR-15 is that “AR” stands for “assault rifle,” a phrase that stems from the German “Sturmgewehr” (“Storm” or “assault” rifle) used in World War II propaganda posters and later applied to military-style weapons. This shouldn’t be confused with the term “Assault Weapon,” a legal term for a specific class of illegal firearm during the years 1994 to 2004. Ironically enough, the AR-15 fits both descriptions: it’s a military style rifle that was illegal during the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban. The “AR” in the name, however, stands for the name of the manufacturer: “ArmaLite.”
The chief architect behind ArmaLite’s weapons design was Eugene Stoner, a young man in his thirties with a knack for weapons design.
Let us fast forward to the early 1960’s when ArmaLite succeeds in selling its design for what they are calling the AR10 and the AR-15 to Colt Firearms. Colt introduces the rifle as the well-known M-16 (the “M” is the military designation for model) … a rifle used by many Vietnam veterans.
Now, here is where we need to get a little technical for those not familiar with the AR-15 that is sold in gun stores around the country as the single most popular rifle ever sold to the public and the military M-16 which has now, after some 50 plus years of service, morphed into the US military’s M-4A1.
The original ArmaLite AR-15 was designed with a “selector” switch that permitted the operator to select “semi” (single shot) fire or fully “automatic fire” (sometimes referred to by the soldiers in Vietnam as “Rock & Roll”) … the third position was the safety position. Please note in the image where this switch was located:
It was the fully automatic fire function that would have classified this rifle as an “assault weapon.” But, US laws, as administered and enforced by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, prohibit the possession and use of fully automatic weapons without government approval and licensing.
The weapon so popular with gun owners throughout the country is a non-military version of the M-16, marketed and sold as the AR-15 by several manufacturers. The distinguishing difference is the lack of the selector switch allowing fully automatic fire. The AR-15 rifle is limited to a single squeeze of the trigger in order to fire a single round.
So, as we have seen earlier, a military “style” weapon that lacks the capabilities of a military weapon cannot be classified as an “Assault Weapon”! It is a single shot rifle … to some it might appear to be a “scary rifle” or perhaps even an “SBG” – Scary Black Gun — but it is not an Assault Weapon … Full Stop!
It should be noted that even the Army decided some time ago that the fully automatic function of the M-16 / M-4 was not a necessary capability for the Infantryman in combat. The Army found that the infantryman was less likely to take accurate aim with the rifle — depending on a “high volume of bullets expended in the “Rock & Roll” mode to hit the target.”
Post war studies showed that was not case with the US ground forces in Vietnam who expended well over 700,000 small arms rounds for every one (1) enemy soldier killed.
The Army subsequently redesigned the now M-4 rifle with a new capability — a selector switch that allows the soldier to select 3-round burst or semi/single shot. The wisdom of this change is reflected in the significantly reduced small arms expenditures in Afghanistan and Iraq. For the record, this 3-round burst capability is still NOT available in the commercial rifle.
Looks the same, isn’t the same.
America is not nearly as endangered by the AR-15 as it is endangered by its Socialist Democrat politicians — who have surrounded themselves with the M-4’s of the Army National Guard … while also striving to deny you and me the same protection. It is important to understand that these Socialist Democrats are trying to bamboozle the American public. We must fight back – your ability to protect your home and family are on the line.
